Bullying Statistics: United States

  • ​Over 13 million American kids will be bullied or cyber bullied
  • It is estimated that one hundred sixty thousand children miss school every day due to a fear of attack or intimidation by other students
  • 1 in 5 teens who are bullied or cyber bullied think about suicide. 1 in 10 actually attempt suicide. 
  • One out of every ten students who drop out of school do so because of repeated bullying
  • Every seven minutes a child is bullied
  • 64 percent of children who are bullied do not report it
  • Every half hour a child commits suicide as a result of being bullied
  • ​More than twenty percent of kids admit to bullying of "some kind."
